Do you accept insurance?
Being an out-of-network provider, all clients are personally responsible for payment of session costs, as Courtney Holbrook, Marriage and Family Therapy does not accept insurance. However, a superbill can be offered upon request. A superbill lists proof of payment, costs for your session, and all diagnostic codes necessary for reimbursement. The client then files the superbill with their insurance provider for any eligible reimbursement. Filing for reimbursement is a personal choice, many have success with receiving reimbursement, and it can go towards your deductible in these instances. Reimbursement rates are dependent on the insurance company and policy.

What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept all cash, check, credit cards, and HSA/FSA cards. The office requires a card on file at all times. All cards are charged through a secure system.

When do I pay for my appointments?
Payments will be due in full at the end of your counseling session. You can pay in the form of cash, check, major credit card, or HSA account. The credit card you place on file will secure your initial appointment, and will be charged through our scheduling system. The hourly rate is $160 for a 50-minute individual session, and $190 for a 50-minute couples session.

How do I schedule an appointment?
Scheduling appointments are easy by emailing Courtney Holbrook Marriage & Family at thrive@courtneyholbrook.com.

How do I cancel or reschedule an Appointment?
You can cancel or reschedule a counseling appointment with no charge via email or text as long as you provide 24-hours notice. However, if you cancel late, which means you cancel within 24-hours before your scheduled session, you will be charged in full for a 50-minute session.

What is your cancellation policy?
Clients can cancel or reschedule an appointment anytime, provided that 24-hours notice is given. If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24-hours notice, or the scheduled appointment is missed, there will be a charge for the full rate of the missed appointment. If clients have any questions regarding the cancellation policy they can discuss their questions and concerns during their next therapy appointment. Courtney Holbrook, LPC understands emergencies and last minute changes, as a result, she does offer a one-time late cancel waiver per every 1 year.

Do you offer Telehealth or virtual appointments?
Yes! Now you can meet with me from the comfort of your own home. I understand that many clients need to remain home, especially during seasons of sickness! These live video therapy sessions are offered to anyone in the state of Texas, allowing accessibility and convenience when it is hard to travel in-person to the office. My counseling practice uses a secure HIPAA platform called Simple Practice to conduct these video sessions. We are currently offering both in person and virtual counseling sessions.
What are your specialities?

What are appointments like?
Your first session will be a chance for me to get to know you and for you to experience working with a counselor. During your first session, I will gather more information about your background, where you will have the opportunity to discuss current issues you are facing, and learn more about the counseling process going forward.
